Last month Constable Care visited the children of Cosmo Newberry, a small Aboriginal community in the Goldfields-Esperance region. There performers Kate and Dawson performed 'Fun Scary' teaching children about important protective behaviours and conducted a puppetry workshop with the children.
"The children were so keen to try the puppets for themselves, they had a wonderful time," said CCCSF Arts & Education Manager Danielle Antaki. "We were also able to teach them some pretty important protective behaviours skills along the way."
"Working with the kids over two days we got to know them and they became engaged with us too," said performer Kate Willoughby.
The trip was facilitated by 'Together We Can' an organisation that brings sport and art workshops children in remote communities, especially Cosmo Newberry.
